Mallory Power: June Mom of the Month Oswego

Meet Mallory Power, June Mom of the Month in Oswego!

-Hometown: El Dorado Hills, California

-Fit4Mom Member since: 3/2016

-Members of your Family: Husband Steve, Daughter Ava (3), Twin Boys Graham & Hunter (2)

-Current/Previous Career: Speech Language Pathologist now Stay-At-Home-Mom

-How did you find Fit4Mom? I was invited by my friend and neighbor Hilary S. but just wasn't ready the very first session of BB. So I joined the second and have been attending ever since. I love it.

-What has Fit4Mom done for you (or meant to you)? Fit4Mom has been such a great outlet for me. Moving here two years ago I didn't know anyone. I felt very isolated being a mom to two new babies while also having a 21 month old. Fit4Mom has allowed me to meet new friends, be a part of a wonderful village of supportive moms, all while getting myself to a healthier self both mind and body. My husband and family have all been very supportive in my journey with Fit4Mom. I'm grateful for Fit4Mom because it has helped me take care of myself so I can be a better mom and wife for my family.

-What was your childhood ambition? To be like my mom, hard working and a caring mom & wife.

-What does motherhood mean to you? It means loving my children so strongly my heart aches. Learning how to do the hardest job I've ever had, while trying to lead by example in faith, with grace and humor.

-What is your favorite exercise? Leg lifts

-What is your proudest moment? Giving birth to my children, but especially making it to 36 weeks and 5 days & delivering my boys.

-What are three of your favorite things (besides your family)? DIY Projects, Shopping & Coffee/Margaritas

-If we asked your partner what they think your best qualities are, what would they say? My husband said "Thoughtful, Determined & Organized" :)

-Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us: People seem most surprised to learn that I delivered my twin boys both vaginal and cesarean, each 30 minutes apart. Wasn't what I hoped for, but I was proud to have been able to deliver two healthy boys in the safest way possible for each of them. Our bodies are capable of amazing things.
